Space… The grandest place
You can see right through it
There’s nothing to it
Space… The grandest place!
The sun… Our closest star
It may seem near but you need not fear
It’s far… The sun, our star
The moon… Our satellite
It’s rocky and round and reflects light at night… Our satellite
Now, Mercury is a very hot planet, Venus no cool spot
And we know earth
From it’s rich soil grows every living thing we’ve got!
Space… The grandest place… (etc)
Now Mars… Is orbiting
Then Jupiter and Saturn with it’s rings… Orbiting!
Uranus is a distant globe
Neptune further yet
And Pluto is as far away as any planet we know gets!
Space… The grandest place… (etc)
And don’t forget our Milky Way, this vast Galaxy
Besides a billion stars it’s home to our Solar System
You and me!
